A delicious way to spend your Saturday

Your taste buds will be watering as the smell of the delicious culinary creations wafts through the air at this weeks FoodFest event brought to you by the North Vancouver Island Chefs Association (NVICA) and the Comox Valley Farmers’ Market.  Several times a year the chefs will elevate your senses as they cook up a variety of dishes using in-season product donated from our vendors.  This is a great opportunity to try something new or discover a spin on your favourite dish.  

The theme of this FoodFest is the ever versatile egg. The chefs will have a special guest helping prepare some of the “EGGcelent” dishes including the French Omelet. Maisie Matthews, a student from Mark Isfled High School won the Regional Skills Competition held at Vanier last week and will joining the chefs on Saturday as part of her perpetration for Provincial Skills in Abbotsford on April 15. The market is open from 9-1 Saturdays year-round.
