Who is ready to try something delicious (and possibly new) and celebrate Persian New Year and the beginning of spring at the same time?

North Vancouver Island Culinary Association will be on site this Saturday March 16, 2024 for another FoodFest Back To Basics food demonstration. Chefs Taylore, Jonathan and Lesley are cooking up Persian meatballs, rockfish with savory blueberry sauce, bread pudding with sweet blueberry sauce or brandy sauce and salad with anchovy dressing. The chefs will be demonstrating how to cook these delicious dishes. Pop on down between 10-12 and ask your questions. Make sure you have an empty stomach as there are samples (served between 10-12 or until they are all gone) 😋.

You will find some the ingredients here at the market including bread from Alderlane Farmhouse Bakery and Erica’s Sweets ‘N Stuff , eggs from Ridgewood Farms Merville BC , honey from Simply Divine Honey and Big D’s Bees , blueberries from Coastal Black Estate Winery , cilantro and parsley from Forest Valley Acres , goat meat from Cork Tree Farm, shrub from Heavenly Libations , rock fish from Esteban Tuna and frisee from Shamrock Farm.
